Can you give me the contact information for rescue?

Actually, I don't know any legitimate rescue groups. Not a single one. And you should be VERY diligent in your choice of rescue organizations. The first thing you should do is check business records to confirm a rescue group’s nonprofit status but even with that you can't will be sure the group is not a front for a puppy mill, the dog mafia, a backyard breeder, or simply people trying to make a little extra money from "animal hoarding." There has been a documented case of a puppy mill in Missouri "rescuing" puppies out to the public for the low low "adoption fee" of $300. On the other side of town they were selling them with papers for $350. There has been a documented cases of two dog mafia woman, one in Phoenix and another in Amagansett, New York, where they use an army of "rescue" organizations, which they control, to harass their dog show competition and artifically drive up the price of puppies (illegal). They have a price-fixing agreement. They are involved in restraint of trade. Racketeering. They have filed frivelous law-suits. Stolen and poisoned dogs. Fixing dog shows. And the people that work for them call themselves a rescue. Then there is the SPCA of Texas, notorious for stealing people's perfectly healthy animals and then selling them. They were exposed by ABC's 20/20 -- http://abcnews.go.com/print?id=817494 If you adopt from one of these rescue organizations, the dog might be stolen.
