A breeder and dog show exbibitor friend of mine was set upon by these pit-bull "Give an Animal a Chance" freaks. A supposedly nonprofit activist group that works as a self appointed "animal FBI," fabricating evidence of what they call animal cruelty through so called detective work, whistle-blower information, undercover operations, and double secret probation. They filed false "police reports" alleging "animal cruelty" with the authorities. They sheriff's deputy said, "these are some of the best cared for dogs he had ever seen." The "rescue freaks" called the media and ignorant lazy reporters broadcast the allogations. But the breeder had won a BEST IN SHOW in Kansas, the weekend before. A rival from the dog shows, tired of losing with her inferior dogs, had made a large contribution to the "Give an Animal a Chance" group, and they sprang into action. It is all being litigated now. And I think a majority of "animal rescue" operations work like a mafia and are not NONPROFIT. So the anwer is NO. Never.
